EPIC will be running an Introduction to XC racing in Djouce Woods on 12th july 2009.Its one lap of the NPS course.
Its approx 7k long, technical and extremely enjoyable.
It will kick off at 12.00 along with the Sports racers. Its €5 to enter, but you must get a one day licence on the day which is €15.

As a rider kicked the ground on Sunday morning and uplifted some dust, followed by the question ‘Is this Ireland?’ it was a true testament to the weather the weekend brought to go along with the fourth round of the 2009 Irish DH NPS
The town of Kranjska Gora is situated just over the border from both Italy and Austria in what can only be described as picture card perfection. A lot of big european events tend to take place in winter ski resorts and you often find that the locations are relatively dead as far as entertainment and facilities are concerned. Not KG! There is no doubt that this town made the effort and by Thursday morning the town was buzzing with ezee ups going up everywhere and DHrs and their inevitable code of dress seen in all the local hooches.
The fifth round of the 2009 Irish NPS takes place in Rossacroonaloo Wood, Killarney, Co Kerry on 4th & 5th July 2009 hosted by Killarney Cycling Club.
Kranska Gora, Slovenia! Most people will never have heard of it, but on a sun splitting day, it was a memorable day for Irish masters rider’s as Revolution Cycle’s Maeve Baxter took home the gold in the women’s category and Chain Reaction Cycles’ Michael Cowan took home silver in the 30-34 age group.
Last season we made it to a couple of Italian national rounds and for the most of them, we had a really good time. So when Romano of the Playbiker team suggested that we race the opening round we were pretty excited about it. The weather is almost always great at the Italian races and there is usually a chairlift to get you to the top.
This was not quite the case in the village of Prarostino.
