Joe Ward takes European Title

Plush Cycling Club member and race organiser, Joe Ward has take Gold at the European Masters Championships in Val di Sol, Italy last week.

The news came as the Irish team were competing in the European championships, where the Masters Championship was also help.

Joe is delighted with the win, taking first position is the Masters 2 category (34-39 age group) beating the second placed rider by 8 seconds on a time of 4.51, following an excellent seeding run also placing him in first position.

Joe also takes the fourth position in the Masters overall category.

Joe has asked us to thank all the Irish squad who were with him at the race, the Irish management as well as Potato Bred for the help over the years. He would also like to thank all the well wishes who he has received calls and text from over the past week.

IrishDH would like to congratulate Joe on his success and looks forward to his homecoming next week the the National Championships.
