NPS Round 5 - Cloon Wood, Enniskerry
Sunday 6th August 2006
July
06
The fifth round of the 2006 Irish Downhill NPS kicks off on Sunday 6 th August in Cloon Wood, Enniskerry. A new venue to the DH scene with the course and race organisation being provided by Epic MTB and with the league starting to take off, riders will be looking to gather some valuable points for the 2006 NPS.
EPICDH are happy to unveil a completely new course built from scratch. Its a tight exciting course with plenty to test everybody.
From the Start its a straight to a right hand flat corner..and a slight dip and into the trees

Then its left across the carpet of pine needles and into a right handed chute avoiding the stumps till you get a little air off a drop
Then its away down to a left hand Chute with the step and across a fast off camber twist to a tight right hander

then another tight left hander comes along along and over to the rock garden and its across some dodgy terrain to the Mini Gap jump.

From here its a series of gullys and twisty chutes down to wall drop alpha 1

cut along the left and back over the wall towards a long right hander, over the stream and set yourself up for a big launch over the ski jump, and on to a big berm..then its high speed over the wall again

and a very quick left turn and over the wall once more..then its another big berm and down a fast drop and the speed takes you over a tumbled down wall.

from here it gets rough ,over a rock garden another drop , a wall ride and then a gallop to the finish.
