Following a recent meeting of the Off Road Commission, Irish DH are pleased to announce Joe Ward as the new Irish International DownhillManager/Coordinator

Joe is extremely well known and respected within the downhill community both at home and abroad. He is also best known for winning a European gold medal in Val di Sole in July 2006.

Joe plays a major role in the organisation and development of downhill races in Ireland dated as far back as 1995. On receiving confirmation of his post as manager Joe said "I am delighted to be appointed as the new manager, as it was something I had always envisaged doing in the future (in my forties!!).This opportunity came earlier than anticipated with the resignation of Eamonn to whom I extend great respect and thanks". Joe also expressed his excitement about the challenges ahead and wanted to wish all riders good luck for the 2007 season and beyond.

Irish DH would like to welcome Joe to the post and wish him well with the 2007 season.
