Frame: Orange 223
Matt Black, with custom stickers and my sponsors on the swing arm. All covered with a clear vinyl to keep them as scratch free as possible. The frame also has the cable guides and the fitting for the IBS removed from the frame. The cables run over the swing arm via guides riveted to the swing arm.

Fork: Marzocchi 888
The 8’ version on the fork. Works amazingly well. Rebound and compression adjustment. Clamped in place with the risse flat crowns to keep the front nice and low.

Rear Shock:5th Element
3’ stroke with a 350x 3’ Titanium spring. Tuned by TF Tuned

Stem: Race Face Diabolus
45mm Length standard clamp
Handlebars: Race Face Diabolus
Standard bars with 3/4 ‘ off each side
Headset: Hope
No problems with this headset all year. Runs on sealed bearings and needs no maintenance
Grips: ODI Lock-on
Clamp them on and forget about them. One set per year.

Brakes: Hope Mono-ti 6
This year these brakes came with braided hoses for even more power. I’m running different pads designed to work at a higher temperature. They don’t glaze over as much as the old ones. Perfect for the job
Shifter: Shimano XT
9 speed. Used with gore ride-on cables keeps everything running sweet.
Rear Mech: Shimano Dura-Ace
A road mech that works perfectly on any downhill bike. Had it on for two years and still runs perfectly.

Cranks: Shimano saint 170mm
These cranks are the strongest I have ever used.
Chain Device: MRP.
Nothing to be said here. The best out there. I have never lost my chain using one of these.

Chain Ring: Shimano saint 38t
A chain ring is a chain ring.

Block: Shimano Dura-Ace 12-18
A close ratio block is much better than one with a big spread. Keeps everything running smooth
Pedals: Shimano DX clipless
Fairly battered after a full season, but they are the strongest out there
Chain: Shimano Ultegra
The shimano chain used with a sram power-link for easy maintenance.
Hubs: Hope bulb 36 hole
The most reliable hub I have ever used.

Rims: Mavic 729
Again the strongest rim on the market. Strong and always stays together for your run. I remember in fort william two years, in my race run I destroyed half the spokes in my front wheel and was still able to finish my run.
Tyres: Maxxis minion front and rear
My favourite combination. 2.5 front and rear.
Seatpost: Race Face Diabolus
Clamp the saddle to it and forget about it.
Saddle: SDG Bel Air.
Had it on all year and its still not bent.
