The fifth round of the 2009 Irish NPS takes place in Rossacroonaloo Wood, Killarney, Co Kerry on 4th & 5th July 2009 hosted by Killarney Cycling Club.

 


 

Race Track

The Race track is basically the exact same as last year race track.  But this year we have extended the start up a bit with a few new features.  The track is rider friendly as well as catering for all ages and all levels.

Helmet cam will follow within the few days.

Event

Killarney Cycling Club will be providing uplifts and live timing.

Timing will be provided by NACC.

Toilets will be provided

Catering will be provided at the event

OC Tuning will be on hand to keep your bike running smoothly over the weekend

Rockstar energy will be attending the event where they will provide free cans of energy to you after your runs.

300euro will be given to the fastest man down the hill on the Sunday.

Also Prizes for top 5 in each category.

Presentation of the Leon MacSharry  Memorial Cup.

 

 

 

 

Uplifts

Uplifts will be running on both the Saturday and Sunday.

No number plate will means that you will not be permitted to ride in the event.

Best up-lifts EVER!

 

Venue Considerations

You are also reminded that mini bikes and the like are not permitted under any circumstances.

Please keep the Venue Clean.  Take your Rubbish home.

Parking

Parking for the event will be very tight so please follow marshals instructions and park as close as possible making way for ambulances or any other vehicles needing to leave swiftly

Race licence (day) €15 or £15 (price set by Cycling Ireland)
If you intend to race regularly consider an annual licence – it can work out cheaper, particularly for younger riders. The licence fees are available on the Cycling Ireland website.

How to get to the event

Getting there from Killarney you head out of killarney on the main Cork road at the 10mile mark you will come to a Loo Bridge junction to kenmare and turning right onto the R569 heading for kilgarvin then about 3miles down this road and you will come to a forest on your right Rosacroo woods.....
