2012 Winter Series Round 2 Preview

Following the success of Round 1 of the Winter Series in Bigwood, CRC are pleased to announce registration for round 2 on Sunday 26th February is now open.  The only change the organisers wish to make from round 1 is by starting at 1.30pm instead of 2pm.

Both of the events will be held on the downhill track in Bigwood Forest and the events will both be pre-registration only.  This is to cut down on administration on the day, so if you don't enter in advance, you will not get an entry.

Riders are reminded that Bigwood is a private Forest and practice on Saturday is not permitted.  A gun club hold a licence and shot each Wednesday and Saturday in the winter, therefore under no circumstances should any mountain bikers be in the Forest practicing on Saturdays.

The course will not be taped until Sunday morning so therefore we would ask everyone to respect the landowners wishes as you will risk future events at Bigwood should you ride there.

Members of Chain Reaction Cycling club will be doing random checks in Bigwood so please be aware you won't be able to race if you're caught practicing.

Portaloos and Catering will be provided.

Parking will be along the dual carriageway.  Competitors please be cautious when parking and using the road.

A video of the track can be found here
