Sometimes working as part of the organizing crew of a major race can be quite a hassle, and sometimes if you’re a marshal or working as part of the medic crew the two days can kind of drag. 

Not for Andrew Barnes.  As part of the Civil Defence unit that helped out at the 2009 national championships in Carrick, the native Aussie decided to take his camera out and get some pics of the riders. 

Being positioned at the base of the second rock jump at the top, Andrew made the most of his day by taking pics of riders travelling down the course.

He then went on to set up a site for IrishDH users to log on and view the photos.  Andrew is more than happy to send on large copies of the pictures if people would like them and has offered to do this free of charge.
