The AGM is open to all members of Cycling Ireland. Those attending must sign in with their current Cycling Ireland membership card/license.
Election of commission members
Three positions are up for election on the commission. Both Ciara McManus and Daren McGann where seconded on to the commission during 2009. Under Cycling Ireland rules they must stand before the member for election at the 2009 AGM. Rory Beirne is stepping down from the commission for personal reasons. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Rory for his valued contributions during the year.
Those wishing to stand for election must be proposed and seconded by members of Cycling Ireland clubs. The chairman must receive the proposal in writing or by email at least one week prior to the date of the AGM (Saturday 3rd October).
Should a ballot have to take place, only those in attendance, who are members of Cycling Ireland Clubs (and have a current CI license), will be eligible to vote. The number of votes per club is set by according to Cycling Ireland rules.
Motions for AGM
Any Club wishing to submit a motion to the AGM must do so in writing or by email. Motions must be received by the chairman at least one week prior to the AGM (Saturday 3rd October).
The Off Road Commission can take recommendations regarding how it administers off road cycling in Ireland. Any successful motions relating to changes to technical regulations or formal operating procedures’ have to be approved by the Board of Cycling Ireland.
