Following the announcement of the 2009 Downhill MTB Winter league  IrishDH are pleased to announce the 8 series 2009 Irish NPS calendar.

Round 1, hosted by 021 Racing, will take place at the home of the 2008 Irish National Championships, at Cahir, Co Tipperary.  Round 1 will be held on 4th/5th April 2009.

Round 2 returns to Dunmanway, Co Cork.  The venue of Dunmanway has been used for the last 2 NPS races and is at the most southerly point of the country.  It will take place on 2/3rd May 20089

Round 3, hosted by Chain Reaction Cycling Club is due to take place on the 23rd/24th May 2009.  As with previous years, the Ulster based clubs have issues with permission to use tracks on Forestry Service land therefore the venue will be announced closer to the time.

Round 4 brings riders to Co Wexford and to Bree.  The event takes place on 20/21st June and will be held in the same location of the events hosted by Bree Racing Club in 2007 and 2008.

Round 5 returns to Killarney for the third consecutive year, where Killarney Cycling Club, will hosted their event on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th July 2009.

Round 6 will be held in a new venue to Irish Downhillers.  Cullo Downhill Club will be hosting round 6 on 8/9th August in Co Loais.

Round 7 returns to Ulster to a venue still yet to be confirmed.  It will take place on 26/27 September and will be hosted by Chain Reaction Cycling Club.

Round 8 sees the return to White Horse, Co Waterford.  Hosted by 021 racing the final event will be held on 3/4th October 2009.

Along with 8 NPS races, the Irish calendar will also see the Irish national Downhill Championships being held on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th July 2009 in Carrick, Co Wicklow.  Carrick was the venue for round 2 of the 2008 NPS and will be hosted by new club, Flow Racing.
