4X Preview
April 2005 Moneyscalp
4x was built about a year and half ago by me, (Stephen Maginn) and several friends.
We wanted to have a course which was fun to ride and challenging for every riding
capability. The track its self is 30-40 seconds long and consists of 7 corners
and 14 jumps and numerous other obstacles. The
course starts on the start gate and after a short straight the action begins with
a small roller into a double. This is followed by a right hand corner into a left
hand corner with a small roller/step up double in between.
Andy
Yoong taking the more direct step up line between 1st and 2nd
corners. After
these two corners there is a double then another short straight which leads you
into the step down as soon as you land off the step down you are ready to hit
the triple which is one of the most fun and spectacular jumps of the whole course.

Greg
O’Keeffe and Conor Maginn go head to head over the triple After
the triple there is a wide right hand corner with a big berm on the outside or
an almost flat inside line. Both lines were fast but the pro choice seemed to
be the inside as seen below with Glyn O’Brien.
After
this corner riders faced two small doubles and then a left hand corner with a
double on the exit. Riders pumped this landing and then had to sprint for the
biggest jump on the course. The section after this has been completely redesigned
which you can see from pictures below.
