Calling all Mountain Bikers to attend the Mountain Bike Commission AGM

October 05

Saturday 12th October 2005

This year the Annual General Meeting of the MTB Commission will be held in the Red Cow Hotel, Co Dublin just off the M50 and the Naas Road between 2pm-5pm in The Munster Suite..

Each of the Commissioners from Cross Country, DownHill, Cross Country Development and PR will report on the various activities at home and abroad of Irish Mountainbikers.

This is your chance to have a say in how your sport, mountainbiking, is governed.....

Some things you should know :

There are 2 positions available on the Commission

- PR ( due to the movement of Richie Byrne into the underage development, DH & XC)

- 'Access' (owing to the retirement of Stephen Merriman due to club commitments)

Access is a particularly sensitive subject at the moment with the publication of Coilltes recreational document and will need a lot of work and commitment.

Nominations for these positions can be sent to any of the MTB Commission members or to Richie Byrne (MTB Commission PRO) richie.byrne@gmail.com or docxsavage@yahoo.com who will forward the nominations to the Commission.

Only people with CI membership and/or licences will be allowed vote (this is a CI rule)

All proposals are also welcome and should also be sent to the above..
